How I work

These are not separate packages but ways of working that combine according to need. We decide together in the first session which fits you.

Individual Online Sessions

Regular one-to-one video sessions on anxiety, stress, self-worth, relationship difficulties and life transitions.

Sessions take place over video, at a time that suits you, usually on a weekly rhythm. In the first meeting we look at what has been difficult, your history and what you hope for; then we clarify the goals we will work towards. Everything you share is protected by professional confidentiality.

The frame of the work

  • 45–50 minutes, once a week
  • Open to clients across Türkiye and abroad
  • First session for meeting and goal setting

CBT-Informed Work

An evidence-based, goal-oriented and structured approach that makes the link between thought, feeling and behaviour visible.

CBT is an approach with strong research support for panic, social anxiety, post-traumatic difficulties, obsessive thoughts and depressive symptoms. We work through concrete examples, learn to notice automatic thoughts and develop more workable alternatives together. Small, doable practices between sessions carry the work into daily life.

The frame of the work

  • A case formulation tailored to you
  • Supported by between-session practice
  • Grounded in advanced CBT training (DATEM)

Work with Children and Adolescents

Support around school adjustment, attention and impulse control, peer relationships and emotion regulation, with age-appropriate methods.

Working with a child is not a smaller version of working with an adult. It moves through age-appropriate play, story and activity, and the family is part of the process. Drawing on my experience as a shadow teacher and play companion, the plan takes the child's daily routine and school environment into account.

The frame of the work

  • Supported by regular family meetings
  • Field experience in autism spectrum and attention/impulse control
  • Suggestions that fit school and home routines

Child-Centred Play-Based Work

A safe, non-judgemental space where a child expresses themselves in their most natural language — play.

In the child-centred approach the child leads. Within a safe relationship, the child expresses through play what they cannot put into words; my role is to accompany without directing and help make meaning of it. It is supportive around anxiety, anger, sibling rivalry, separation and loss.

The frame of the work

  • Çatı Psikoloji · 40 hours of applied training
  • Non-directive, respectful of the child's pace
  • Regular feedback to the family

Mindfulness-Based Practices

Awareness practices woven into sessions, making it easier to return to the present in loops of worry and rumination.

Mindfulness here is not a trend but a practical tool added to the process. Through breath, body scan and noticing exercises, we practise observing thoughts rather than getting lost inside them. It is integrated into individual sessions as much as it is needed.

The frame of the work

  • Training in individual and group use (DATEM)
  • Supportive for anxiety and stress management
  • Short practices you can carry into daily life
FAQ

Common questions

How do sessions take place?

Sessions are held online over video. At the appointment time you simply join through the link sent to you; a quiet space where you can be alone is all you need.

How long is a session, and how often do we meet?

A session is 45–50 minutes. The process usually moves at one session per week; we can review the frequency together as needs change.

How many sessions will it take?

That depends on what we work on and what you're aiming for. Some themes become clear within a few sessions, others need longer work. After the first few meetings I share an estimated frame.

Is what I share confidential?

Yes. Everything shared in session falls under professional confidentiality. The only exception arises where there is risk to your life or someone else's, within legal obligations.

Can a psychologist prescribe medication?

No. Medication is the field of psychiatrists. Where I see a need I will suggest psychiatric support and, with your consent, we run the process together.

What is the session fee?

For current fees and the student rate, please get in touch over WhatsApp or email.

Not sure which one fits you?

The first session exists exactly to work that out together.
